Cousin Ryan turned 8 years old.Hi everyone,
It's been a busy few weeks. But filled with lots of fun things. We had a nice spell of warmer weather a week ago, and got a taste of spring. I think it was just teasing us. Because today, however, is cold again. We actually saw snow flurries. Very unusual for TN. There were several counties that closed school today because of "snow advisories". Very different from up north.
Jeff's parents drove down from Michigan two weekends ago, and brought the boys some more snow. They just loved playing with it. And surprisingly it lasted all day (in a cooler). They had fun eating it, making snowballs, and throwing them at whomever came close enough.
Our nephew, Ryan, turned 8 a week ago. They had us all over for Sunday brunch last week and we celebrated his birthday there. The highlight was him opening his "Green machine" from grandma and grandpa. I still can't believe he is that big. He is such a bright and caring boy.
I've been busy this week packing. Friday we leave for Florida. And from there, Jeff and I are going to spend the week in Cancun. Just the two of us!! That's right...NO KIDS!!! We are very excited. As hard as it is to leave the boys, we know they are in good hands. We are leaving them with my parents, who are spending the winter in Florida. Then I'll spend two weeks in Florida with the boys-when Jeff and I return. I know, it's a hard life :-) I really do feel lucky to not only have a place to stay down there, but have a husband who is willing to part with me for that long.
So my next post will probably be from sunny Florida.
